Organised Criminals hold Kenya at a ransom

How organized crime is demeaning the true spirit of Jubilee
W
hen I was about 4 years old, I usually had this dream that seemed to repeat over and over. There were people chained hands and feet sitting in a dimly lit place. They were of very poor health, and their chains ran from one end to the other on their feet and hands as well with one hand and feet free and the other chained.  Using the other free hand they drank from cups like 500gms tins that were filled with substance like unsweetened porridge that seemed neither increasing nor decreasing.
The dream was so significant that it dominated my conscious and subconscious due to the number of times it came to me. Whenever I dreamed this dream, it was like hundreds of years have gone by and yet the prisoners were still there, chained and unhealthy in the dimly lit hole where not even the light of the sun could be seen.
During the days of persecution, towards the end of Nyayo regime, I was setup and thrown in prison and falsely accused. Now while being psychologically and emotionally tormented trying to understand why an innocent person could be in jail just because of defending his right, the reality stuck. The whole picture of the dream I had while a kid was replaying before my very eyes.
Life in remand and later in annex prison depicted the true picture of my dream. In remand, the cells build by the colonial powers to serve 80 prisoners were overstretched to carry up to 270 prisoners. While this served to gratify the desires of our accusers, it totally went against faith.
Moreover the cells were bug infested. There were hundreds of thousands of bedbugs and fleas that at night if by any chance you had means to stretch your hands and touch your head (because we used to sleep “mbavu style” or “rib style”) you would make a great catch of fat bedbugs sucking your blood.
During the day most of us were engaged in fix the bug activity as we waited for our court cases which took months or years to be summarized. Fix the bug activity involved removing all your clothes and sitting down in the sun while plucking the fleas and killing them using the back of the two thumbs, there was no rest day or night.
Food was also a major problem. As a remandee the ratio and the manner of food approved by the medics was wanting. In most cases the daily 1 pint of porridge came as a mixture of floor and water. Poorly cooked was the porridge that water and floor remained separate.
During lunch which came almost immediately, ugali was a very small solid mixture of floor and water with vegetable soup cooked with magadi (soda ash) to weaken us.
By 1400hrs or 1500hrs supper was served, another poor mixture of solid floor and water with poorly cooked beans. After supper we had to wait until the next day in order to have the same porridge again
Back in the court room the magistrates were intentionally delaying cases in hope that the prisoners would bribe them. Of course those who had money bribed their way out but to us who had nothing we had to bear with cases of lost files, longer mention periods in order to appear again in court, prosecution witnesses’ failure to turn up as early as possible and more of many other weaknesses in the system that could make the heart of a man fail in him.
The tactics of intentionally delaying cases is not new and can be traced back to the Acts of the Apostles when Felix who was the governor of Caesarea left Paul in prison in hope that Paul would bribe him [Acts 24:26].
Not all the magistrates were wolverines. In my case there were two magistrates, one was called Kinyanjui and another we named Mkamba according to his tribe. Kinyanjui was favorable and concluded most of his cases quick and with efficiency. He also gave short period for mentions and never tolerated prosecution weaknesses. Kinyanjui preferred to have his cases heard and determined in the regular court room where everyone including the public was.
On the other hand we had MKamba, a short red eyed man with black skin. He preferred to come to court in a suite and a tie. He never looked the accused in the eye. Most of his cases were heard and determined in the chambers where less than 10 people could fit. This included him, the prosecutor the prosecution witness or witnesses and the warder manning the accused in case the accused was not on bond. Cases in his court dragged for months or years.
Back in the prison walls the remandees had fear mingled with rage about him. We talked and judged him as bhang smoker because of how he behaved and handled our cases. My case was first with Kinyanjui but due to Kinyanjui’s inability to play the system his transfer came as soon as my first hearing so my case went to the MKamba court.
The situation here was understandable because of the political environment of the day. It was evident why Kinyanjui a Kikuyu and a MKamba a Kamba behaved how they behaved. The scenario is set up in the heart of luoland so it speaks a lot why the Kamba magistrate behaved how he behaved and the Kikuyu magistrate behaved how he behaved.
During the Nyayo regime, Nyayo played tribal. He oppressed the tribes he perceived to be in opposition of the regime mainly the Kikuyus and the Luos while playing soft with other tribes like the Kambas who were subject to his antichrist rule.
When I got out of prison and after many years of searching for the truth, I got the answer. The prison served to clarify the true picture of the state of Kenyans. The dream and the time I spent in prison was pointing towards Kenya itself.
As The lamenter wrote in chapter 3
To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth.
To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
To subvert a man in his cause, the LORD approveth not.
Kenyans have never known freedom. Because our senses are not trained to distinguish evil and good as the epistle to the Hebrews chapter 5 states:
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
…..we do not know when to defend or when to offend.
When laws or enforcement of laws that take our basic rights are made or enforced, we find ourselves unable to analyze the threats posed by those laws or their enforcement leave alone making a resistant.
From power surges that destroy our electronic equipments now and then to anti-piracy (copyright) laws that take away our right to freedom of information to municipal by-laws that stifle agriculture like the one that led to the destruction of hundreds of acres of vegetables in Nairobi on grounds of health, we have to admit that our oppressors are way ahead of us in terms of intellect and monetary ability.
While in prison, there are things I observed and are applicable on our daily lives. The prison warders placed fellow prisoners to be in charge of other prisoners. These prisoners in charge of others placed heavy burdens on their fellow prisoners and were cruel even than the warders themselves. In the shamba they used whips to subject their fellow prisoners to work at the pace they deemed acceptable, meaning a prisoner should not be too fast or too slow.
Kenyans are prisoners, we are all prisoners under bondage and those who have been chosen to watch over us are very few rich men. The perpetrators of oppression are our fellow countrymen most of which are religious men who use the word of God to keep Gods people in bondage. While they promise freedom to their disciples, they themselves are slaves of corruption. For a man is brought into bondage by whom he is overcome.
A matter of concern here is how Kenyans have gone far away from God and His word in the face of multiple voices in the televisions, fm stations and open air crusades in the guise of preaching the gospel of truth.
Prophet Isaiah wrote in chapter 51
There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.
These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
Again he said in Chapter 35
For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
The ignorance of the word of God has given birth to too many things going terrible bad. Because we have been led astray and lost touch with God, our senses cannot gauge and determine when we are being reviled or our rights being trodden upon.
Many of the problems that befell this country can be categorized as organized crimes whereas the players are the very men in the Justice System, Law enforcement and religious places. Together with businessmen, the crimes became lethal organized crimes.
Every organized crime committed against the sons and daughters of this land has its root and head in religion. While tribal affiliation plays a crucial role just like religion, religion is it’s beyond borders connection. Also religion has an upper hand over the hearts and minds of men.
A good example is the ongoing campaign that has been televised countrywide about what the perpetrators of oppression called move to stem sale of fake DVDs and CDs.
In spiritual terms the campaign is hypocritical and lacks faith and moral. What these people intend to achieve is to create and defile our conscious making us guilty of a sin that is not while they have eaten to their fill and are now stooping below the table to strike with evil fist those feeding on bones they have eaten and thrown down. Scary huh!
As I said our senses must be trained to gauge and judge everything and anything and to know how to distinguish good and evil. After all if we will judge angels how can we not be able to know when a group of individuals who have set themselves against God and his laws are on the rampage?
The TV advert is a reviling.
Frankly speaking if a distributor cannot sell a million copies of your album in 1 year in a 40 million population, you are better selling your CD on your own. Worse then is if you have a fan base throughout east Africa not excluding Africa or the rest of the world. 1,000,000 copies if divided by 365 days (1year) equal 2,740 copies per day. 2,740 copies per day if divided by 47 counties you get 58 copies per county per day.
So logically it is possible unless your distributor is not telling you the truth or he/she have people in his/her budget feeding on your sweat without your knowledge. The people in this budget could be people like the Artur brothers or just local medicine men in your neighborhood standing by to finish you anytime they get the green light. Organized is the crime!
People like Steven Kanumba always complained of poor payment from distributors that even the Tanzanian president spoke the day he (Kanumba) died about government intervention on the matter. But should we wait for someone to die before we make an empty promise? no. As I said this is a host of organized criminals aided by religion and tribal affiliations using legal offices to perform illegalities. Call them “Sons of disobedience”.
As the psalmist wrote in chapter 14-

2

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3

4

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? Who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD?
When they do these things their inward thought is that no one sees them, no not even God who gave them eyes. When they take up horns and shout in the streets telling us what CD or DVD is genuine they go around convincing even Gods people that their cause is genuine. They introduce laws that go against the spirit of freedom of information and God himself who gave them breadth.
The reason why as an artist, actor or producer you should make a time frame to benefit from your intellectual work is because of the following command. It is alive and it works
Deuteronomy 24
19
When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
20
When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
Because these organized criminals are aware of the word of God, they cause Christians to err by way of deception and by delaying payments for their work and failure to account for the albums they have sold so that they drag God people into the war with the same God they are serving. Perfect set up Mmm!
Rose Muhando is a very energetic gospel artist. Going by her fame she represents the perfect image of how God intends most of his ministers to perform. In her latest album utamu wa yesu, she placed a copyright issue as the first track urging her listeners to buy her original CDs and shun fake CDs.
Businesswise she made a leap but coming to carefully observe her action through the spiritual lens, she diluted her former messages in the former albums especially for people who came to Christ through those albums she called fake.
The way out for her is a public apology the same way she did it in the first track on her utamu wa yesu album.
The world the “sons of disobedience” are building is not a world of the poor. While the poor are not actually poor because almost all of them are victims of injustices ranging from inheritance issues, to forced evictions, miscarriage of justice etc perpetuated by false religion, the way forward is understanding and standing with and by the word of God.
Do not aid them in their quest in any way.
John wrote in the book of revelation 18
6
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
Understanding how the system works is key to success in your endeavors to serve the living God. Whether you want to be an actor, a singer, producer or anything similar you must be ready to fight as Rebecca MD stated in her book titled - prepare for war-.
Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Simply put wickedness is anything God never intended for you in his purpose as Moses wrote in the book of Genesis chapter 1
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
………worse of all is that it is wickedness in high places
Rulers of the darkness of this world are religious men and women who were once enlightened but because they loved darkness they found it foolishness to continue in what they were taught and have dragged unsuspecting Gods elect on to their sin but that also is serving to fulfill the words of our Lord Jesus in Mathew 24.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Your life as an artist should be for Gods glory and Him alone. Today most Tanzanian movies have lost touch with God especially after the death of Steven Kanumba because many of them have too much violence, witchcraft, sorcery and sex without followable storyline. They are produced without viewers in mind.
When true followers of Christ will come to realize how Steven Kanumba contributed positively to the spread of Christianity and the testimony of Jesus in East Africa, then shall they realize the gap that has been left by him and why his end came so sudden.
But because of the darkness covering the tribes of the nations as prophesied by Isaiah in chapter 60…….
2
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
…..church goers and mere men cannot comprehend or analyze threats facing the house of the Living God in East Africa.
In reality God expects someone to wear the shoes of fallen ministers like Steven Kanumba but none of the holy bishops and pastors has counseled their flock of the possibility of finding another person who will continue the work of these Great Eastern Africa actors and ministers of our generation.
The reason why they have not been able to find a way to fill the gap left by Steven Kanumba is because they are not shepherding their flocks against wolverines but against seeing the light. Some of the clergy’s are not wolves themselves but because they don’t have enough light in them, they are unable to discern the timing.
What these sons of disobedience usually do is replacing a sheep with a ferocious wolf. And if that happens, they will be way ahead of us.
Deuteronomy 25
5
If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother unto her.
This scripture on inheritance has been demonized by HIV/AIDS proponents but this law speaks a lot about spiritual warfare.
First and foremost brothers come from the same bloodline and have many things in common. The stranger here must be the person who shares no biological connection with the deceased while the wife is the shoes but this is a message for another day
Summarizing this topic, there are many servants of God who have died sudden deaths. Their shoes must be worn by new occupants to keep the fire burning and the flame from quenching. Those coming must not swerve to the left nor to the right but must keep the vision of the founders alive.
Their deaths fulfilled revelation 13……….
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
…………And Revelation 12
17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

 ………And revelation 18
24
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
There is a story I heard of a local gospel artist who was almost killed when he went to demand payment from music distributors in Nairobi. After the incident the man retreated to his hometown never to be heard again. He has never recorded any song since then despite revenues generated by his music sold in music stores, supermarkets and online.
With this story and many other testimonies alike, you should know how to go round about the situation. As I said before that our oppressors are our very own people who are way ahead of us in terms of intellect, monetary and legal issues. They use tribal affiliation and religious platform to advance their agenda if necessary they use politics. They get what they want when they want it using the beast called money amassed from the blood of unpaid laborers.
They are the people shouting on TVs and FM stations about piracy and fake DVDs trampling on peoples freedom of information. If let loose they will charge money for everything. They raid peoples businesses disregarding the privacy act in the guise of enforcing piracy laws.
They introduced laws requiring stickers to be placed on CDs because they want to protect their business and want to bar people from selling their own intellectual properties due to costs involved.
I am a preacher of the word of God, should I not sell my messages through CDs without stickers because few filthy rich businessmen and politician sat down and crafted means to prevent the spread of the true gospel that brings deliverance?
But this has happened true according to the word of God they revile in their businesses…
Revelation 13
17
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
So God is the winner in all this because they show by way of their doing that they are the seed of corruption by fulfilling his word.  The word of God therefore must be preached whether the penalty for preaching the word of God is death or jail term.
Throughout the generations of men, God has always raised a match for any form of wickedness and this generation is no peculiar.
We must fully embrace the word of God to identify why a group of people would scoff at God and the rest of the population after eating the fat of the land to their fill leaving bones to the rest, yet even before the rest start breaking the bones in search for marrows, they leave their abodes and stoop below their tables scaring, beating and condemning those eating the remains of their food with an evil fist through televised shows full of reviling and hypocrisy in the name of fighting piracy
It must be stopped either way. An American bishop once told me, pastor, whatever it takes.
Yes, whatever it takes. We must take our constitutional right back from those gluttons in sheepskins either way.
